COFFS Harbour’s best junior cricketers have spent their past two weekends representing their region in their annual inter-district competitions.
The Coffs Harbour District Cricket Associations junior teams began their representative seasons with T20 matches in the opening rounds of the North Coast Cricket Council’s inter-district competition.
The Coffs Harbour under 16s side got their season off to a winning start with a 25-run victory against Valleys Cricket in Coffs Harbour.
Coffs Harbour scored 3/138 from its 20 overs, with James Lobb leading the way top scoring with 63 while Toby Bailey finished on 40 not out.
The Coffs 16s restricted Valleys Cricket to 9/113 as Manveer Clair took 2/7 from 2 overs.
The Coffs under 16s won their second match in a row beating Clarence River by three wickets in their one day match at Grafton.
Coffs Harbour bowled out Clarence River for 101, with James Lobb and Manveer Clair both taking 3 wickets each.
The Coffs Harbour under 14s side have also started their representative season well, having won their past two matches after losing their opening match of the season to Valleys Cricket.
Their first win of the season came against Lower Clarence after bowling them out for 44 in their T20 match at Grafton, thanks to Lara McMillan, Jayden Perrett, and Patrick Rose who all took two wickets each.
Their most recent win saw the side continue their stellar bowling dismissing Clarence River for 46 in their one day match at Grafton.
Lara McMillan took 4/14 from her 8.3 overs while Patrick Rose also bowled a top spell taking 2/0 from his 6 overs including 6 maidens.
The Coffs Harbour under 12s side also got their representative season off to a winning start beating Valleys Cricket by seven wickets in their T20 match at Macksville.
Manat Singh top scored for Coffs Harbour finishing on 33 not out.
The North Coast Cricket Council’s inter-district junior representative season continues this Sunday.
