Coffs basketball heading to grand finals

Crunch time is fast approaching for Coffs Harbour’s best basketballers with just under two under weeks to go until this season’s grand finals.

The latest round of the Coffs Harbour Basketball Association’s A-grade season was decided last Wednesday night at Sportz Central as teams booked their finals spots.

Ladder leaders Paradise Island won their 14th match from 15 games with an 87-67 win against Artisti.

The Bag moved into second spot on the ladder with a 67-47 win against Test Eagles.

Super Crisp earnt a 54-47 win against top-4 side Hot Wings.

And Run It Back and Butter Chicken played out a last second thriller, as Run It Back won 53-51 with Steve Conrad hitting the game winner with four seconds remaining.

The Coffs Harbour Basketball Association’s grand final day will be held on Saturday, December 5 at Sportz Central, and will feature the seasons deciders of the primary school, high school, and senior competitions.

A-grade ladder

1. Paradise Island 44 points: 14 wins. 1 loss.

2. The Bag 35 points: 9 wins. 6 losses.

3. Butter Chicken 35 points: 10 wins. 5 losses.

4. Hot Wings 34 points: 10 wins. 5 losses.

5. Test Eagles 28 points: 7 wins. 7 losses.

6. Super Crisp 27 points: 6 wins. 10 losses.

7. Artisti 24 points: 3 wins. 12 losses.

8. Run It Back 19 points: 2 wins. 13 losses.

A-grade Women’s

Round 16 of the A-grade women’s season was also decided last Wednesday night.

The ladder leading Let it Rain won their 12th match this season with a 69-64 victory against Glamchels.

Dunkalicious showed why they sit third on the ladder with a 75-58 win against Ballers, while Dynamic Signalling beat PINK 40-37.

3. Dunkalicious 35 points: 8 wins. 6 losses.

4. Glamchels 27 points: 4 wins. 10 losses.

6. Dynamic Signalling 16 points: 3 wins. 7 losses.
