Diggers try to maintain perfect start

Diggers Cricket Club Inc. will look to maintain its unbeaten start to the season when the Coffs Harbour District Cricket Association’s first grade season continues on Saturday afternoon.

After winning their opening three matches of the season, Diggers will look to make it four in a row when they host Valleys Cricket at Fitzroy Oval.

Diggers are the early ladder leaders while Valleys Cricket are at the opposite end of the spectrum sitting at the bottom of the ladder after three rounds.

Valleys will be hell bent on kickstarting their season with an upset win after two straight losses.

Defending premiers Sawtell host the Northern Districts Rebels in the match of the round at Richardson Park.

Sawtell are coming off a win at home against Valleys Cricket, while the Rebels sit in second spot on the ladder after two straight victories.

Coffs Colts and Nana Glen play off for both club’s first win of the season when they meet at the Coffs Coast Sport & Leisure Park tomorrow afternoon.
