The AFL North Coast season is set to start on Saturday, April 4 with changes to the makeup of the senior competitions.
After winning last year’s reserve grade grand final, the Northern Beaches Blues will enter a team in first grade making it a five-team competition in 2020.
The Blues first game will be against the Sawtell/Toormina Saints in Round 1 at Richardson Park.
The Coffs Harbour Breakers begin their premiership defence at home when they take on the Grafton Tigers at Fitzroy Oval.
Two weeks later, and the Breakers face last season’s runners up the Port Macquarie Magpies in their grand final rematch during Round 3 at Fitzroy Oval.
The Breakers and Saints meet in their first local derby of the season in Round 4 at Richardson Park.
The reserves competition has two new additions with the Grafton Tigers and Nambucca Valley Lions entering the fray to make it a six-team competition for 2020.
The women’s competition has been extended to five teams with the Northern Beaches Blues and Grafton Tigers entering separate teams after combining last season.
