The Coffs Harbour Breakers were the standout club of the AFL North Coast competition last year, winning the First Grade and under 18’s premierships.
Now the successful club is looking to make a difference in the Coffs Harbour community.
The Coffs Harbour Breakers have started a new program called “Breakers: Our Community Our Responsibility Program”.
The program is a new initiative where the Breakers will be committed to giving back to the Coffs Harbour community using the power of their members and other community members.
The Breakers have committed to visiting Coffs Harbour Base Hospital in late March, where the club plans to take over 50 members into the hospital wards to put smiles on the faces of the patients doing it tough, while at the same time taking gift baskets for all the hospital staff who work tirelessly day in and day out.
The Breakers will also be running a day where they provide food for those in need, while also sponsoring disadvantage students for school supplies and other associated costs.
The Breakers also plan to visit local schools to run a day full of fun sporting activities and provide a lunch on the day.
The Breakers also hope to visit local nursing homes and talk with the residents throughout the year.
