Coffs Harbour’s junior Oztag teams have been tested not only by visiting teams but the wet weather conditions on their way to excelling at the 2020 NSW Junior State Cup.
Rain poured down for much of the three-day junior Oztag state championships at the Ce.x Coffs International Stadium, as the rain on Day 2 tested players resolves and skills as just holding onto the ball became a much harder task.
The Coffs Harbour Cavaliers teams represented their region at home against the state’s best junior sides aged between 11 and 17, coming away with a state title and three runners-up finishes.
The Coffs Harbour Girls 16s side finished winners in their Division 2 competition, after remaining undefeated winning all six of their pool matches.
Coffs Harbour teams also finished runner-up in the state in the Division 2 girls 13’s, as well as the Boys 15’s and 17’s competitions.
