Coffs and Bellingen juniors excel at carnival

One of Coffs Harbour’s biggest annual basketball carnivals has been played over two big days of action on the courts of Sportz Central and Bishop Druitt College.

The 2019 Bronwyn Vigors Pacific Challenge Odd Age Carnival featured Coffs Harbour Suns and Bellinger Valley Braves best junior sides taking on visitors across two days of representative basketball over the weekend.

The Braves and Suns junior sides took on visiting representative sides from across Northern NSW, including Byron Bay, Lismore, Port Macquarie, Tamworth, and Yamba.

The Suns and Braves showed their representative pedigree taking out five of the eight age divisions on offer.

Coffs Harbour Suns junior teams made it through to five of the eight finals on offer, taking out four age divisions; the under 11 boys, 13 girls, 15 girls, and 17 boys, and finishing runners up in the under 11 girls.

The Bellinger Valley Braves won the under 15 boys title.
