Sawtell on top in first grade

Sawtell have increased their lead at the top of the first-grade ladder after a seven wicket win against Diggers Cricket Club Inc. at Fitzroy Oval.

Sawtell maintained their undefeated start to the season during the sixth round of the Coffs Harbour District Cricket Association season.

Sawtell dismissed Diggers for 147 with Wayne Smith doing the bulk of the damage taking 3/15.

Michael Oates led the successful run chase for Sawtell finishing on 59 not out.

Coffs Colts consolidated their position in the top four with a five-wicket win against Valleys Cricket at the Coffs Coast Sport & Leisure Park.

Opening the batting Valleys Cricket were dismissed for 106 with Reilly Mulhearn the pick of the Colts bowlers taking 3/18.

Troy Britnell lead the successful chase finishing unbeaten on 54.

Nana Glen earnt their second win of the season against the Northern Districts Rebels with a three-wicket win at the Coffs Coast Hockey fields.

Harwood confirmed why they are the defending premiers with a blistering performance with the ball against Sawtell at Harwood Oval.

The home side opened the batting and were dismissed for 123 with Sawtell captain Richie Gallichan leading the way with the ball taking 3/8 from his 8 overs.

Harwood needed a big performance with the ball, and their bowling attack duly delivered dismissing Sawtell for 115 for an eight-run win.

Northern Districts Rebels won their second Premier League match in a row with a six- wicket win against Valleys Cricket at Woolgoolga.

Valleys Cricket opened the batting and finished at 7/153 with Brodie Barrett top scoring with 59.

Northern Districts Rebels reached the total in their 33rd over with Ian Slapp top scoring with 68.
